The Goodness of Garlic is located just outside the historic little village of Forest Grove, BC. We are the founder of, and original home to the Annual South Cariboo Garlic Festival. As a producer of fine garlic products, we have a mission to bring the goodness of garlic to people all around the world.

Our "Goodness of Garlic" products are ideal for adding some excitement to otherwise "ordinary" dishes. Use them - and your imagination - in the kitchen to impress and delight your family & friends.

We are honoured to have been recognized by our local South Cariboo Chamber of Commerce over the years. Some of our awards have included Entrepreneur of the Year (twice), Best Home-Based Business, and South Caribooster (formerly known as 'Ambassador to the South Cariboo') Award.


HOW IT ALL BEGAN...

We started out a few years ago as a gift shop specializing in locally-crafted gift items. One of the items we sold was Garlic Kitchen Seasoning, which we made ourselves. Soon the demand started to grow, and before long, we added a full kitchen to produce our growing line of fine food products. We then achieved commercial kitchen status and received our BC Health Certificate, which meant we could now produce more items from our certified kitchen.

We began to travel far and wide to various shows and markets to promote our rather unusual foodstuffs. The demand became even greater, so we have now decided to offer a line of garlic goodies in our new on-line shopping section. We have kept the selection reasonably short, as all our products are made by hand in small batches.

WHAT'S IN A NAME?

For years, we were known as 'Kariboo Farms'. We are now beginning to introduce our new name - 'Goodness of Garlic'. We felt that this change would more accurately describe what we do, and what we stand for. Incorporating the word 'Garlic' into the name was particularly important to us. No matter what you call us, we are still the same company and the same people, dedicated to bringing you garlic products that are Pure, Easy to Use, and Packed with Flavour!

WHO IS GARLIE?

If you take a close look at our logo, you'll see our mascot, 'Garlie'. He was created a few years ago to represent us to the world. He appears on our labels and other printed materials, and is sometimes dressed in unusual garb, depending on the occasion! He's a friendly little fellow and we intend to keep him around to help us grow.

QUALITY ABOVE ALL...

We insist on maintaining our high standard of quality & old-fashioned taste, and haven't found any production shortcuts that satisfy our requirements. If and when we do, we'll be expanding the offering even more. In the meantime, we remain a part of BC's growing "cottage industry", offering the highest quality, most unique locally-produced garlic products possible.
